Pet Adoption
Harold
Harold
is a loving senior kitty cat who needs someone to take him home and love
him. He was surrendered by his owner as her own terminal illness did
not allow her to care for Harold any longer. Please help us find
Harold a well deserved home to enjoy the rest of his life.

Jasmine
Jasmine is a stray cat generously being cared for by a Green Lake Client, Pam. Please Contact her at 206-310-7749 for more information.
From Pam: I have been been taking care of a homeless kitty for a few months, gaining her trust.
She is very healthy and I just had her spayed, rabies
shot, flea treatment, and she tested negative for Feline Leukemia. She
is a lovely girl now. Wants to be petted and loved before she eats.
She likes to be brushed and will roll on her back and sides while brush or
pet her.
She has been staying at night in a pet carrier, outdoors (with warm fur cat blankets and a heating pad) and is starting to be very interested in being indoors. Looking through our glass door.
We cannot have a cat as my husband has allergies. The perfect home for her would be somewhere she can transition from the outdoor carrier home (under cover on a porch preferably) to becoming an indoor kitty.
I think she may have been someone's kitty as when we took her in to be spayed, she was already spayed.
Janis
Janis is an ideal cat, loves to snuggle,
awesome around kids (his prior family has had a fleet of toddlers running
through the house and he is always happy to be petted and loved). He
enjoys car rides -
preferably on your lap. Right now he’s an
indoor/outdoor kitty, although prior to that he was indoor only and seemed
very happy with that. Janis has been recently diagnosed as diabetic,
just prior to the owner’s giving birth to twins! Needless to say,
their hands are a bit full right now and they’re hoping someone will be able
to provide the care Janis needs.
Right now, Janis is on insulin twice daily. His diabetes is still
being regulated (meaning that DVMs are working to determine the correct
amount of
insulin Janis needs to maintain normal blood glucose). He’ll
need some further blood tests to insure proper regulation. He is on a
new insuline (Glargine), and may eventually be able to manage his diabetes
through special diet alone. Regardless, he will need to be on that
diet for the rest of his life.
Liz at Green Lake Animal Hospital would be happy to discuss Janis in more detail with any interested people. If this is your first diabetic kitty, I’d be happy to show you how to give insulin (the injection is very easy and oftentimes barely noticed by the patient). Sally
She's a smart, goofy, clever girl. Estimated to be about 7 years old.
She
had a broken leg
when she was abandoned at the hospital but it is all
healed now. She has a slight limp, especially if walked a lot but it
doesn't slow her down at all. She will need to be on glucosamine for the
rest of her life. She gets along with adults great but she wasn't well
socialized and does not get along with other dogs, cats or little kids.
She's smart and knows all her commands although she is a little too
enthusiastic
when greeting company and has a tendency to jump up on visitors. She
loves squeaky toys, walks, playing fetch. Perfect for anyone with out
pets or kids who likes an energetic, smart dog. Please email
glnursing@qwest.net; for more information.
