Education: BA in Japanese, University of Washington Currently a new graduate student working towards an MS in Techincal Japanese and Human Centered Design and Engineering, University of Washington.
Veterinary Interests: A long-time pet owner, I grew up on my family's farm and have been around animals my whole life. I have a special affinity for cats and German Shepard dogs, and in high school I attended fairs and poultry shows to show my purebred bantam chickens. Although my academic career has taken me in a different direction, I like to stay involved by going 'home' regularly to help out on the farm and volunteering at local shelters.

Personal Interests: Asian languages and cultures, particularly Japanese language, as well as Korean and Chinese. In my free time I like reading Japanese horror novels and translating song lyrics and articles from Japanese to English. I also enjoy jogging, cycling ans step aerobics, watching movies and listening to mousic.
Pets: None that live with me now, but while I'm in school my family continues to care for my seven cats, 10 chickens and our German Shepard named Lobo.
